FINAL SCORE: Blue Mountain 2  Columbia Basin 0

The CBC men dropped a tough match against a strong Blue Mountain team who outpaced the Hawks for a 2-0 victory. A much tougher match for Basin this week saw them on the wrong side of a defensive game. The Timberwolves speed was much quicker than previous opponents and gave CBC fits. Blue Mountain scored first off of a missed keeper charge that fell right in the lap of the Timberwolf forward for the easy goal to make it 1-0. The Hawks only managed one shot on goal the entire night but hand a handful of looks that were either sailed high or wide. Blue tacked on another goal just before the half that would be the final score of the match

The second half was much of the same but neither team was able to score despite good opportunities on both sides. Blue Mountain packed it in on defense and Negrete and Gomez couldn't break through for anything close. Daniel Puga was able to block a couple of tries by Blue to keep it close to the end but it was too little too late as the referee ended the match after a short stoppage at 2-0.

CBC will look to rebound against Wenatchee Valley in Wenatchee this Saturday before heading to Spokane to take on the rival Sasquatch.
