Women's Soccer settled for the tie on Saturday against the North Idaho Cardinals. The Cardinals scored almost immediately after kickoff on a defensive mistake by CBC in the first minute. Despite controlling the tempo for the whole contest, the Hawks only managed one goal from
Anabel Lin off a rebound shot from
Kylee Alvarez.
The Hawks outshot North Idaho 18 to 7 on the day but missed chances came back to bite them in the behind. They did manage to put 10 shots on goal but NIC was able to fend off all but Lin's equalizer. The tie however, does put CBC in position to retake control of the East Region if they are able to come away with wins against Blue Mountain and Treasure Valley to finish the season.
They will head to Treasure Valley on Wednesday May 19th. Basin defeated the Chukars in their first matchup 6-0. They'll finish off the year at Blue Mountain on May 25th in what will prove to be the deciding match of the season.
