Columbia Basin defeated Treasure Valley in a double header by scores of 13-1 and 13-8.

CBC looked dominate in a double header against the Chukars winning both games by a wide margin. In game 1, starter Kirby Robertson did what he does best- put up a quality start and drive in runs at the plate. Robertson finished his day on the mound going 6 innings and giving up just 1 while striking out 7. At the plate he was 2-4 with a double and drove in a run and scored 2. The Hawks put up a 10 spot in the bottom of the second inning backed by a 3-run jack from shortstop Adrian Crain. Eleven CBC batters reached base in the inning. The big inning was more than enough for Robertson on the mound as Isaac Rheinschmidt came in to finish the game off in 7 innings with a clean slate.

Game 2 featured much of the same at the plate for Basin. They were able to put up a 9-run inning in the 3rd for the 12-1 lead early. Starter Jace Wessels was not at peak form on the mound but he was still able to finish 6 innings giving up just 3 earned runs. Freshman Isaac Haws had a day at the plate finishing 4-5 with 3 extra base hits including a dinger in the big 3rd inning. 

This time, Treasure Valley was able to score a few late runs to make it interesting but ultimately came up short. The Hawks added 1 late insurance run as Mason Hymer was able to finish off the Chukars in the 9th for the 13-8 win. The sweep pushes Basin's record to 23-15 on the season with two more games remaining against Treasure Valley.
