Columbia Basin defeated Treasure Valley at home 3-0.
Hokulani Sagapolu lead all scorers with 14 kills.
Josephine Thompson added 28 assists in the effort as Basin cruised to the sweep of Treasure Valley.
Basin came out hot with a 6-0 start to kick things off. The CBC attackers were able to get easy looks at the net where TV had no answer. Sagapolu had 4 kills on the set as
Lucendy Perez and
Caydence Taylor added a few. They were able to finish off the set in quick fashion with a 7-2 run as the Chukars could only muster 3 kills in the 25-13 set.
Treasure came out in Set 2 a little better than the first frame. A handful of kills and a few CBC errors saw them lead 9-6 before the Hawks were able to break serve. In the middle of the set, TV lead 13-11 before Basin found the gas peddle scoring 14 points while only giving up 4.
Grace Morby and
Tamia Allen-Greggs combined for 6 kills in the effort.
As the bench started to come in during Set 3 with CBC up 19-8, things got a little off kilter for the Hawks. Treasure Valley went on a 9-2 run to cut the score to 24-19 but it wouldn't be enough as the Chukars served the final point into the net for the 25-19 final and the 3-0 sweep.
CBC moves to 23-1 on the year after winning 10 in a row including an avenging win over North Idaho. They will travel to Walla Walla on Wednesday to take on the Warriors before heading to Yakima in what could be their last test of the regular season. The Yaks defeated Basin last year in Yakima 3-0.
