Columbia Basin tied with North Idaho in their final home game of the regular season 0-0. Jayauna Keister was not tested in goal as the Cardinals did not put a shot on frame.

In need of a win or tie, the Hawks were only able to settle for a tie against a stout NIC defense that pulled the 0-0 shut out in Idaho as well. CBC was not short on chances as the ball spent almost all regulation in the attacking territory for Basin. 

The Hawks did have their chances in the 1st but the Cardinals ability to pack it in on defense allowed them to stave off the attack. The shot of the day came in the second half when defender Mya Lee sent a well struck kick that sailed to the good side of the goal but just caromed off the crossbar on the near miss. North Idaho had one look off of a free kick but the shot sailed nowhere close on frame.

The tie does not hurt CBC in the race for second place but it leaves them now 5 full points back of Spokane with 2 games to go. They will travel to Walla Walla on Saturday for a big rematch against the Warriors who fell in Pasco 3-0.
