For the second year in a row, CBC is the East Region Crossover champions. The Hawks went undefeated on their own court against a bracket of 7 other teams from the NWAC.
On day 1, Basin came back from down two sets in the opener against Clark to surge back for 3 in a row to beat the Penguins 3-2. In the night cap, they defeated Whatcom 3-1 in an impressive team effort. On the second day, they finished off pool play with another 3-1 win over Pierce that would advance them to the championship match to meet Edmonds for the third time this season.
CBC dominated the Tritons in straight sets lead by
Caydence Taylor and
Zuri Reeser who each posted over 10 kills in the effort. With preseason in the books, Basin currently sits at 9-5 (1-0 East) but will get to travel to Moses Lake to take on Big Bend Wednesday night before returning home on Friday to face Treasure Valley at home.
