Columbia Basin defeated Treasure Valley 3-1 on Friday to move to 3-0 in East Region play. Three different Hawks had 10+ kills lead by Zuri Reeser's 12.

The Hawks returned home for the Friday tilt against Treasure Valley after a 3-1 win on the road at Big Bend. CBC looked sharp early on with Caydence Taylor getting hot early in the first two sets. CBC worked around the Chukar blocks to the tune of 13 kills in the frame giving them an early 25-18 set win.

Reeser was consistent all night for Basin who roared out to the early 11-5 lead in the 2nd. A couple of aces with 3 kills in the frame gave CBC the commanding 2-0 lead.

The Hawk defense struggled for some cohesiveness in Set 3 as the Chukars capitalized on a couple of receive errors putting it just out of reach of a CBC comeback despite cutting the lead to just one on three occasions in the set. Treasure rallied for 6 in a row after an overturned kill that would have tied the match at 19.

Looking for some momentum in the fourth, the defense did its best to buckle down and get the job done. Both teams went back and forth all frame with neither team leading by more than 4. CBC was able to reach match point at 24-22 but was unable to close as the Chukars tied it at 24. Both teams exchanged match points but a Chukar attack error and two kills by Reeser finished off the set for the Hawks at 29-27 to take the match.

The win moves CBC to 3-0 in East Region play (11-5 Overall) while riding a 7-game win streak. They will turn right back around and travel to Wenatchee Valley to take on an upstart Knight team with first whistle scheduled for 2pm.
