Columbia Basin defeated Everett in Game 1 of the CBC Crossover tournament 65-35.
Olivia Davis scored 14 points off the bench in her first action of the year.
Amber Swan added 14 points in support.
CBC wasted no time getting things started at home with an early blast to begin the game. The defense only allowed 3 points in the first quarter to an Everett team that had no answers for the Hawks. The bench for Basin shot 5-5 from the floor in the first frame, good for 12 of the 24 points. From there, CBC played different rotations throughout the rest of the game as all Hawk players scored in the contest.Â
Baylie Voile knocked down 3 of her 6 attempts from deep in the second half as the defense did its part to build up a 30 point lead heading into the 4th quarter. Davis scored 6 of the final 8 points in the game as neither team shot particularly well in the 4th.Â
CBC improves to 4-3 on the year and will get a rematch against Lower Columbia on Day 2 of the tournament starting at 6pm on Friday.Â
