Columbia Basin defeated Mt. Hood at home on Day 2 of the December Invite 83-62. Four Hawks scored in double figures lead by
Bobby Siebers' 22.
Zander Kamai added 11 points and 7 assists in support.
CBC came out hot as Siebers knocked down all four of his 3-point attempts in the first half. The Hawks took a commanding 18-9 lead after just 5 minutes as all starters chipped in to make a big run stretching the lead to 19 points with 5 minutes to go in the half. Mt. Hood's Jalen Childs was forced to the bench with early foul trouble allowing the Hawk defense to take advantage. As the half wore on, Basin hit a dry spell on offense allowing the Saints to cut the lead down to 9 but a back door lob to
Coleton Hansen at the buzzer gave CBC the 39-28 lead heading into the break.
Basin made sure there would be no comeback as they came out firing again on offense as they spread the ball around. The Saints would only get it to 10 before
Keiren Brown scored ____ of his ___ in the period on the way to a 25 point lead.

Coleton Hansen finished off the last few minutes with some easy looks deep into the paint on the way to the 83-62 final.
CBC moves to 7-2 on the year ahead of the NWAC Crossover where they will travel to Grays Harbor to take on the Chokers, Linn-Benton and Bellevue starting Friday December 13th.
