Â
Anton Williams lead the way in the first half with11Â points. As the half wore on, Basin was able to claw their way back into the game trailing just 4 points at half.
Â
Outside of halftime, the offense was sputtering again as
Ta'Veus Randle did his best to get them back into it. With 10 minutes left and a seemingly insurmountable lead, The Hawks came down with three straight 3's to take a 3-point lead.
Lauren O'Neill's back-to-back 3's were sparked by a quality defensive shift by the CBC bench.
Â
South Puget knocked down a 3 of their own to tie it up with 51 seconds to go but
Jayden Martinez answered right back with a dagger to give Basin the lead back. Randle's two free throws sealed the deal with 8 seconds left helping CBC escape with the 62-57 win.
