Columbia Basin defeated Blue Mountain 71-39 at home to stay in playoff contention.
Analyssa Maldonado lead all scorers with 19 points while
Amber Swan and Ezray Ray posted double-doubles.
The Hawks got a big win on the Pink Game celebrating Breast Cancer awareness month. CBC wasted no time building an early lead allowing just 4 points in the first quarter by forcing 11 turnovers. Maldonado scored 9 of her 19 in the period. Again in the second, the Timberwolves mustered just 7 points in the frame to help offset CBC's 10 points.
With a 16 point lead going into the third, Basin exploded for a 33 point quarter with Swan and Ray getting going in the paint. Maldonado orchestrated the offense in the paint to perfection getting buckets herself as well. From there, the Hawks would settle in for the duration of the 4th for the 17-39.Â
The win holds CBC in 4th place before hitting the road against Treasure Valley and Spokane on February 5th and 8th.
