Columbia Basin defeated Lane 3-2 and Skagit Valley 3-1 while dropping to SW Oregon and Clackamas in their 4 crossover matches this weekend.
The Hawks defeated Lane on the first day in a thrilling 5 set match where some timely hitting and defense in the 5th set allow them to separate and emerge victorious. On day 2 against the defending champs, Skagit Valley, CBC's offense was humming lead by
Eva Biladeau's 18 kills as they rolled against the Cardinals.
In the Crossover match against Clackamas, the Cougars were able to take the match lead by an impressive offensive attack. The Hawks were unable to convert on a few key sequences allowing Clackamas to build leads early.
CBC moves to 6-6 on the year as they gear up for region play starting Friday at home against Walla Walla with first serve scheduled for 6pm!
