Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women's Soccer stays undefeated in conference play with 3-0 win over Treasure Valley

Columbia Basin delivered a complete performance Saturday afternoon, controlling possession and dictating tempo from start to finish in a 3-0 victory over Treasure Valley. The win pushed our season record to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in league play, keeping momentum firmly in our favor.

From the opening whistle, we set the tone with relentless pressure in the attacking third. After several near misses, the breakthrough came in the 26th minute when Iva Hunt buried the opener off a perfectly placed corner from Allie Draper. The early goal rewarded our dominance and gave us the confidence to keep pressing forward.

We carried that 1-0 advantage into halftime but wasted no time doubling it after the restart. Just five minutes into the second half, Draper again delivered a pinpoint service, this time finding Zoey Forst, who finished clinically to make it 2-0. Draper's energy and vision in the midfield kept Treasure Valley on its heels, while our defense limited their attack to zero shots on goal.

The highlight of the afternoon came in the 77th minute when Myah Giles capped off a brilliant individual performance with a composed strike, assisted by Hailey Despres. Giles was a constant threat throughout, leading the team with six shots and providing a spark that kept the Trojans pinned in their defensive half.

Defensively, Columbia Basin was impenetrable. Goalkeepers Sam Groesbeck and Brooklyn Best combined for a shutout, supported by a back line that denied Treasure Valley any meaningful opportunities. Our midfielders dictated possession, and our bench depth allowed us to maintain pressure deep into the match.

With three different goal scorers, two key assists from Draper, and a third straight conference win, this was a true team effort. Columbia Basin continues to show its balance, depth, and hunger as the season pushes forward.

The Hawks will travel to Wenatchee Valley on September 24th as they look to keep rolling.
