Dan Clifford

Dan Clifford is entering his 13th season as Head Golf Coach at CBC. In his first season at the helm, Clifford led the women's golf program to the 2008 NWAC Championship.  2014 saw the Hawk women go undefeated, capturing their second NWAC Championship under Clifford.  Clifford coached the NWAC Medalist and Female Player of the Year in 2014 (Hope Neidhold) and 2015 (Neydeen Martinez).  The Hawks captured another NWAC Championship in 2018, with a squad featuring two-time NWAC Player of the Year Brianna Esvelt. Again in 2019, the Hawks captured the title to make it back-to-back championships lead by tournament champion Breanna Watts.

Clifford, a P.G.A. member, is the Head Professional at West Richland Golf Course.  A native of Richland, Clifford graduated from Richland High School in 1977. He then moved to San Diego, Calif., where he played golf at Mira Costa Junior College before transferring to National University.

Clifford moved back to the Tri-Cities in 1993 and began working at West Richland Municipal Golf Course. He worked his way up from a maintenance worker to the Head Golf Pro at West Richland. Clifford also spent time as the Head Golf Pro at Othello Golf Course before his current position at Horn Rapids.

Coaching college golf has always been a goal of Clifford's, and he is very excited to achieve that goal at CBC. Clifford's wealth of experience on the golf course will bring a positive influence to the golf program and will help the Hawks continue their success.
