Martin Ramirez enters his ninth season at the helm of the men's soccer program at CBC.
Excellence has become the standard under Ramirez as his 2025 team won their 5th straight East Region title. The 2025 team featured 2 all-americans in Rafael Lucio and Julio Andrade but fell just shy of another Final Four appearance in a wild shootout in the Elite 8.
Martin started playing club soccer at the age of 4 in his hometown of La Barca, Jalisco, Mexico. After moving to the United States at the age of fourteen, he graduated from Pasco High School in 2010 and went into college to Walla Walla Community College. He then transferred to The Evergreen State College. He returns after receiving a Bachelor’s of Arts degree with a focus in Education. He will be coaching at Chiawana High School during spring season, Three Rivers Club during the summer, and CBC during the fall. He wants to further his education by acquiring a Master’s in Arts and get endorsements in Spanish, English and ELL to be a High School teacher.
Yerba Buena HS
As a sophomore Martin made it to the talented varsity team that made it to state quarterfinals. He received the Best Defender of the Year award.
Pasco HS
After moving to Pasco as a junior, Martin received the Newcomer of the Year Award, and was a vital part of a very talented team that finished 2nd in the state that year. As a senior, Martin was team captain and led the team to a very successful season- on and off of the field. Ramirez received All-Conference 1st Team, All Area Team, All-State Team honors and MVP of the season honors.
WWCC
Martin was team captain of his team, which finished the season as East Region Champions. He was an All-Conference player and was selected to play in the NWAC All-Star game in 2011.
TESC
As a senior, Ramirez was team captain and he earned Honorable Mention All-Conference recognition. He was a key in an Evergreen defense that allowed just 17 goals in 16 matches and he also contributed four assists.
Chiawana High School
He currently holds the Varsity Assistant Men’s Soccer position for Chiawana High School. Ramirez looks forward to continue learning and growing as a coach.
Personal
Martin and his wife have two daughters. He enjoys spending time with his family and working out.
