Nycol Walters

Nycol Walters is in her eigth year at Columbia Basin College as the head athletic trainer.
 
Before working at Columbia Basin College full time, she spent time working in local physical therapy clinics and CardioPulmonary Rehabilitation to help further her knowledge about the body. 

Nycol grew up locally in West Richland, Washington and graduated from Hanford High School. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Athletic Training from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. She has her Athletic Training Licensure from the State of Washington and her Athletic Trainers Certification from the Board of Certification. 
 
During high school and when she was home from college Nycol was a Sports Medicine Intern with the Tri-Cities Fever for six seasons. In college she did over 1000 hours of clinical rotations where she worked in/with the Fort Lewis College Health Center, Rivergate Physical Therapy, Fort Lewis College Athletic Training Room including working with Football, Women's Soccer, Women's Lacross, and Softball. She spent most of her time working at two of the local high schools, Ignacio High School in Ignacio, CO and Aztec High School in Aztec, NM.
