Alessandro Llamas

Llamas enters his second year at the helm of the CBC Women's program. In his first year, the Hawks won the East Region title and finished 3rd at the NWAC Championships. His team notched an impressive 11 shutouts in 16 games on their way to a 4th straight Final Four appearance.

Llamas Ibarra was born in Guadalajara, Mexico, and spent time in Quincy, WA as a child. Moving to the Tri-cities area as a teen, Llamas Ibarra graduated from Kennewick High School and upon graduation, signed on as a student athlete for the Columbia Basin College Men’s Soccer program (2016-2018). At CBC, he captained a very competitive NWAC level squad and during his tenure on the men’s program, the Hawks finished undefeated at home, placing 2nd in the East region, and making an appearance in the NWAC quarterfinals in Fall 2017. Llamas Ibarra then made the jump to Sierra Nevada College, playing in one of the most competitive NAIA conferences in the nation (CAL-PAC). Llamas Ibarra then returned to Tri-Cities in 2019 and finished his education online through Eastern Oregon University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Studies of Psychology & Communications.

After his collegiate athletic career, he began his coaching journey by joining Southridge High School (SHS) in 2019. Coach Llamas Ibarra became Head Coach for Southridge Girls’ Soccer 2021-2023 and acted as interim Head Coach for Southridge Boys’ soccer 2019-2023. Since joining the Southridge High School Soccer programs, Llamas Ibarra made a significant impact on the Southridge soccer community. Coach Llamas and his staff were able to build the SHS Girls’ program into serious contender status, bringing them from a record of 26 (W) - 30 (L) with 87 Goals For / 131 Goals Against the prior three seasons to 41 (W) -  27 (L) with 154 Goals For / 72 Goals Against, finishing 1st in league for 3A in the Mid-Columbia Conference 3 seasons in a row (2021, 2022, & 2023) . In his last season with the Girls (Fall 2023), they were able to qualify for the Sweet 16 round of WIAA State playoffs, the first time that had been done since 2019. In his last season with Southridge Boys Soccer (Spring 2023), Coach Llamas Ibarra and staff lead the boys to a top 3 finish in the Mid-Columbia Conference, a District 8 Championship Title and an Elite 8 WIAA State Championship appearance. This is the best season that Southridge Boys’ have had since 2011. Llamas Ibarra also put work in off the field, increasing community outreach by establishing annual kids’ soccer camps and multiple fundraisers.

Llamas is currently in his 5th year of coaching. He has been a Volunteer Assistant for CBC Women’s Soccer under Coach Omar Anderson since 2021 and is also a Head Coach for Three Rivers Soccer Club (G12 Black ECNLR). For Three Rivers Soccer Club, Llamas Ibarra has coached multiple age groups and levels, most recently earning a Girls’ 2011 2nd place finish in Washington State Youth Soccer State Championships in May 2024, and qualifying for US Youth Soccer’s Far West Regionals in June 2024.

Llamas Ibarra currently holds his U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) National C License and is currently the youngest one to hold this license in the area. He plans to take his USSF B in 2025.

Llamas Ibarra started working on the CBC campus full time in April 2024 in Advising as a Completion Coach and will continue in addition to his head coaching duties.
