Spencer Roland begins his seventh year at Columbia Basin as the Assistant Athletic Director.
Prior to CBC, Roland worked at the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) as the Sports Information Assistant for 5 years. During his time there, he helped lead the implementation of the Presto Sports software across 5 major sports as well as coordinated championship stats for those 5 sports.
Roland was also active on the coaching side where he was an assistant for the Lower Columbia College women's basketball program during the 2018-2019 season. LCC finished the season as West Region champions on their way to an 8th place finish in the NWAC.
From 2013-2019, Roland coached multiple high school AAU teams for Roots Academy located in Longview, WA. In the spring and summer, he also coached high school baseball from 2014-2017.
Roland brings 2 generations worth of NWAC experience to CBC. His father, Kirc, is currently in his 22nd year as the Athletic Director at Lower Columbia College. Together, they have put on over 20 successful in season tournaments across 4 sports as well as multiple NWAC Baseball Championships since 2013.
Spencer and his wife, Kara, have been happily married for 6 years. They have two kids Stella (2) and Shay (6 months).
