Coach Sokaitis is entering her fifth year as the Head Women’s Basketball coach at Columbia Basin College.
In 2025, CBC featured a brand new roster with only one returner off the 2024 team. Sokaitis took a new cast of faces and despite injuries, lead the team to an upset win of West-#1 Lower Columbia at the NWAC tournament and came just 2 minutes shy of upsetting #2 ranked Umpqua in the Elite 8. The Hawks will return 4 starters in 25-26 as they look to regain control of another East Region title.
Prior to CBC, Sokaitis spent seven seasons at Lebanon Valley College where she lead the Dutchmen to a 91-83 record. During Sokaitis’ tenure LVC made 5 conference tournament appearances, reaching the semi finals in 3 of those years, as well as winning an ECAC Championship in 2015.
As an assistant coach, Sokaitis has stops at both Yale University and Southern Connecticut State University. At Southern Connecticut, she helped the Owls make the NCAA tournament in 2011-12 and make frequent appearances in the national polls. At Yale University, Sokaitis was part of a staff that lead the Bulldogs to their first ever WNIT appearance.
Throughout her career, Sokaitis has recruited 3 Rookie of the Year players and coached 24 All-Conference Honorees.
As a player, Sokaitis played at Western State College (now Western Colorado University) as part of a backcourt that lead the nation in the least number of turnovers throughout the 2006-2007 season.
