CBC Men's Soccer Coach Brian Gochoel recently announced Israel Gonzalez as the men's soccer Athlete of the Month for October.
Gonzalez, a freshman from Grandview, has been a vital cog in the Hawks' starting eleven during the month of October. Filling in all over the pitch, Israel has proven to be a valuable asset for CBC, regardless of his position.
"You can't say enough about what he brings to the pitch on a daily basis," observed Coach Gochoel. "He can play up front, in the middle, or on defense, and the outcome is the same. He finds a way to make a positive contribution in every contest."
His capstone contribution came in the last match of the season, as Gonzalez collected a hat trick against Treasure Valley, leading the Hawks to victory.
