CBC women's soccer player Alyne Van Winkle has been named an October Athlete of the Month.

"We would like to congratulate Alyne on graduating with High Honors. She is a great student on and off the field. She played a big role for us this season," said head coach Omar Anderson.

"Alyne came back from injury to help us finish off the season strong. Alyne played a big role in midfield in two of our biggest games against top three opponents on the road. Not in her natural position, she gave the Hawks a solid defensive effort and also an offensive threat moving forward. We appreciate the two years she has spent with CBC athletics."
