FINAL SCORE: Columbia Basin 74 Blue Mountain 60
The CBC Women outraced Blue Mountain for their first home win of the season Tuesday night.
Aaliyah Anderson lead the way for the Hawks with 20 points and 9 rebounds off the bench.
Sami Sanders also chipped in 17 points in the effort. CBC came out early ready to set the tone on defense forcing several Timberwolves turnovers allowing them to jump out to a 52-14 lead early. Basin shot 15-32 from the field in the half while forcing 19 Blue Mountain turnovers.
Anderson and company continued to run deep in the second half. Both teams began losing steam late in the third quarter but aggressive plays on defense staved off a late run from Blue, cutting it to just 10 points with 4 minutes to go. However, CBC was able come up with a 9-4 run to end the game on a high note.
CBC will host Yakima Valley in an opponent swap out as Big Bend has tested positive for COVID-19 and will be unable to make the trip this Friday. Tip off will be at 5:30pm.
