FINAL SCORE: Columbia Basin 10 Treasure Valley 0

Fresh off their shut out of North Idaho, the CBC men looked even stronger against Treasure Valley. While it took them 20 minutes to score, the Hawks controlled the game from kickoff. In the 20th minute, Raymundo Mendez drew a foul inside the box that lead to a PK which transfer Diego Gomez slammed home for the 1-0 lead. Oscar Cortez notched the second goal off of a beautiful pass from Gomez to make it 2-0. Juan Cruz and Dino Lapandic both added goals just before the half for a 4-0 lead.

Just after half, CBC put on a clinic scoring 5 goals within 5 minutes to jump out to a 9-0 lead with 40 minutes left. Mario Negrete and Gomez carved the Chukar defense getting any look they wanted. Negrete scored twice before assisting on a Gomez goal. Cortez added the 9th in the 50th minute off of a great through-ball from Jose Garcia.

The Hawks would add one more tally in the 65th minute by Lapandic before coasting into the easy 10-0 victory. As high school teammates, Gomez and Negrete continue to be a force in the box against opponent defenses outshooting opponents 21-3 for Shots on Goal in two games. 

They will host Blue Mountain on Wednesday April 7th before traveling to Wenatchee Valley on Saturday April 10th.
