Columbia Basin defeated Treasure Valley on Friday 61-42.
Aaliyah Anderson lead all scorers with 14 points in the effort while
Alyssa Agundis added 12 and
Sami Sanders added 10 off the bench. The Hawks shot 45% from the field on the night and never trailed in the game.
Basin and the Chukars traded buckets in the first quarter before exploding in the second quarter for 20 points while holding Treasure Valley to just 2 points in the period. Anderson scored 10 of her 14 in the period to help push CBC to an 18-point half time lead.Â
The Hawks extended their lead after 3 before Treasure began to throw a press at CBC. Sanders' 6 points in the 4th quarter was enough to keep the Chukars at bay for the 18-point blow out. Anderson and company forced 28 turnovers in the ball game that lead to 21 fast break points in the ball game.
CBC will continue the homestand on Tuesday May 18th against Yakima Valley in their 3rd matchup of the season. Both teams have each won one game a piece.
