Columbia Basin defeated Treasure Valley 76-57. Latrell Barker lead all scorers with 21 points along with 9 rebounds. Christian Cross added 13 off the bench for the Hawks.

It's hard enough to play on the road, but when you have to face CBC's 40 minutes of hell, it gets a lot harder. The Chukars committed 7 turnovers in the first 5 minutes of the game as wave after wave of CBC pressure was seemingly too much. On offense, Barker was able to have his way in the paint to the tune of 13 points in the period.

An uncharacteristically poor shooting performance from deep by the Hawks was able to leave Treasure in the game for a little while as the Chukars found a couple looks in transition to keep it close at 33-22 at half.

Outside of halftime, the Hawks went right back to work with pressure leading to easy buckets inside. As the half wore on, Treasure's frustration reached a tipping point as they were hit with a tech foul. Cross was able to get 10 points in the half as Basin pulled away leading by as much as 28 with 8 minutes to go.

Treasure made a small push in the final 5 minutes to cut it to 19 points but the run wasn't enough as CBC checked in another win at home to make it 4 wins in a row after their 0-2 start. They will finish the homestand on Wednesday against an always-strong Spokane squad. Tipoff will be slated for 7:30pm.
