The Hawks opened up Regional play at home as the regional host on Saturday. Facining off against the South 4-seed Clackamas, Basin turned in their best offensive performance of the year. In the first set, Basin dominated from the jump, pulling ahead early 15-8. The hitters were able to find holes in the Cougar defense to the tune of 18 kills and no errors in the frame. A 6-1 run capped off a dominating first set 25-16.
In Set 2, Clackamas began to heat up with a good run and a 14-10 lead heading into the first timeout. From there, it was all CBC as the Hawks went on an immediate 9-0 run lead by 3 kills from Christopher. Before one could blink, the blitz propelled CBC to the 25-18 win.
Clackamas did its best to try and hang but Reeser and Christopher were too much as Basin enjoyed another mid-set run of 8-1. Reeser and middle
Camille Collins put the cap on the set for the 25-20 final and the 3-0 win.
