Columbia Basin defeated Walla Walla 3-0 at home on Wednesday.
Zuri Reeser lead the hitters with 14 kills while
Yajaira Meraz assisted on 24 balls tonight.
Two games into East Region play, two 3-0 wins for the Hawks. Walla Walla came out with a couple early kills in Set 1 taking a 9-5 lead but post-timeout, the Hawks came alive. Taking advantage of some miscues by the Warriors, CBC vaulted ahead 21-14 with
Trinity Mayencourt putting the stamp on the 25-18 finish in the Set.
From there, it was all Basin.
Hi'ilei Fuqua shifted over to outside hitter where she recorded 4 kills in the 2nd set. Scoring the final 4 in a row, the Hawks finished off a quick set 25-13. In the final set, CBC notched 18 kills on 30 attempts for a whopping .533 hit percentage and the 25-10 final giving them the 3-0 win.
CBC moves to 13-3 on the year (2-0 East Region). They will get their first league test at home on Friday as Wenatchee Valley comes to town with first serve scheduled for 6pm.
