Columbia Basin defeated Blue Mountain at home 66-46 on Sophomore day. Kim Wolgemuth lead all scorers with 17 point while Sadie Tanner chipped in a triple-double with 14 points 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

Facing off against a struggling Blue Mountain team, CBC took care of business at home on Sophomore day. All 5 active sophomores started and played the majority of the game for the Hawks and started it off with a defensive bang holding the T-wolves to just 7 points in the first half. With an early 24-5 lead, Basin put it in cruise control and did not look back.

Outside of halftime, Blue Mountain was able to hit a couple of deep 3's to ramp up their scoring but it wouldn't be enough as Tanner affected all areas of the game finally notching the triple-double on a designed play out of a timeout finding Amber Swan for an easy layin at the rim. Wolgemuth connected on 6 shots in the game including 3 from down town while Ezrah Ray also posted a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The win keeps CBC just one game back of 1st place with one game to go where they will square off against Walla Walla at home Wednesday February 25 in the final regular season contest of the year at 7pm on Holden Court.
