Denzel Brantley drives the lane.
Box Score FINAL SCORE: Columbia Basin 82   Treasure Valley 75

Columbia basin defeated Treasure Valley Wednesday night by a score of 82-75. Denzel Brantley lead all Hawk scorers with 22 points. Miguel Hernandez also scored 21 while Brandon Baker had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds off the bench.

After losing by 2 at Treasure, CBC seemed poised for vengeance. Despite coming out slow in the early minutes. Denzel Brantley's hot hand brought them back over the top for a 33-30 halftime lead. CBC shot 42% from the floor while holding the Chukars to 8 field goals on the defensive end.

Hernandez found the hot hand in the middle of the second half going off for 16 of his 21 in the period. Treasure Valley still continued to put the pressure on Hawk defenders in the lane with direct drives off of dribble handoffs resulting in 22 free throws on the night.

Just when things got tight with a minute to go, it was Carson Cloaninger who sunk a big 3-pointer to extend the Hawk lead back to 6 with 58 seconds to go. Timely rebounding helped Basin close out the Chukars for the 7-point win.

Columbia Basin will take on Walla Walla for sophomore night this Saturday at 4pm to try and continue their solid play from tonight.
