This week for Rocket League, the undefeated Hawks faced their rivals, Salt Lake Community College (SLCC), in a highly anticipated series. The excitement was palpable, amplified by the CBC girls' soccer and volleyball teams attending as live spectators.

The series against SLCC was an intense, back-and-forth battle. In a high-speed Game one, after both teams traded early goals, the Hawks found themselves tied 3-3 thanks to a memorable play where Jason "Yaxon-_-" Gomez made a phenomenal read on the ball, leading to a successful goal by Miguel "Leaf" Jinez. After almost 90 seconds of nail-biting overtime, the Hawks edged in a point against three defenders to secure a heart-racing win. Game two saw the Hawks fall behind 3-0 before mounting a spectacular comeback. Yaxon sparked the rally, scoring 3 points followed by the game-winner with two quick touches on a pass from Leaf to nudge the ball past the defense, clinching a 4-3 victory. SLCC stormed back in Game three, handing the Hawks a decisive 4-1 loss. Game four was another tight contest that went to overtime after the Hawks tied it 2-2 with a fantastic team play: a long pass upfield from Leaf was sent off the backboard by London "PremiereBump" Thiladeth, allowing Yaxon to finish the play for a goal. However, SLCC scored just 12 seconds into overtime, sending the series to a final game. In the deciding Game five, SLCC jumped to an early lead. The Hawks' lone point came from a coordinated team effort, with a pass from Leaf and a bump by Yaxon setting up PremierBump for the score. It wasn't enough, as SLCC took the game 4-1, winning the hard-fought series 3-2.

The Hawks had a chance to bounce back immediately in the doubleheader with the next series against Central Columbia College (CCC). After Leaf secured the first game with a double-touch goal, the Hawks dropped the second in a close overtime loss. Refusing to be rattled, the Hawks pulled themselves together, dominating the remainder of the series with definitive 5-1 and 3-1 wins in games three and four to secure the overall victory.
CBC Overwatch 2 went into week 4 with a match-up against Daytona State College (DSC). CBC last went head-to-head against Daytona last season, Spring 2025, NJCAAE Division 1 National Playoffs, where the Hawks lost in their 3rd place match. Like their last week's game against Blinn, CBC Overwatch 2 team were excited for the rematch to show their improvement from last year. Map 1 started off with Control map "Antarctic Peninsula." While the first point was back and forth, Lucas "BAAAAABAAAAA" Grenier had a team ending ultimate to win the first point 100% to 75%. After the sufficient warm-up, the Hawks coasted through second point with at 100% to 0% shutout to secure the first map and a 1-0 series lead. Going into map 2 of "King's Row" for Hybrid game mode, Daytona came out swinging with a first team fight win to capture the point to begin their progress through the rest of the map. CBC was able to chip off 3 minutes of the 5:23 time in DSC time bank before giving up second point. It was a slugfest between both teams over third point, but Daytona was able to push through Columbia Basin's defense and completing the map with 2:23 left in their time. CBC showed how it was done on the attack with completion of the map in 3:42, taking it to an overtime situation. With Dayton's new time bank of 2 minutes, CBC only gave up first point before making the stop. While it took the Hawks nearly their whole time to breakthrough Dayton's defense, they were successful in the end and took the second map and increased their series lead to 2-0. Moving on to map 3 "Watchpoint: Gibraltar for the Escort style map, CBC started off on the defense. DSC was able to make it through the first point and had 4:50 to move the cart through second point to progress to third. But the second point would only be in their sight, as the Hawks were able to stop Daytona in their tracks at the half-way point of the map. CBC seemed to stumble out of their spawn on the first point, but after going down 2 teammates, Cade "Alyxian" Horn connected with Damon "DooMination" Martinez with a double ultimate combo "Nano-Blade", which was enough for Martinez to pick up 3 quick eliminations and turn the advantage to CBC, capturing first point. Down another 2 teammates, Grenier, Martinez, and the support ultimate from Luci "LuciLuci" Cumming to give the 3 of them extra health, were able to win a 3vs5 fight to help take the Hawks towards to equal map progress as Daytona and winning the series 3-0. CBC Overwatch 2 stays undefeated in the regular season and improved to a record of 4-0.
