All Esports Teams Advance to Spring National Playoffs

CBC Esports teams for Tekken 8, Rocket League, and Overwatch had successful Regional Playoffs for securing National Playoff tickets for the NJCAAE.

CBC Tekken, going into Regional Playoffs as the #1 seed and region champion, had an impressive run. After securing a 3-0 win against #8 Salt Lake Community College player, Andres "Puncakes" Uribe advanced to compete against #4 Barton Community College. A close battle against the two broke out, with CBC winning 3-2 and advancing to the Winner's finals. With the match against #3 Lake Sumter State College's player, Uribe fell in the series 1-3. In week 2, facing off against #2 Salt Lake Community College's player "Eyeswideshut" in Loser's Finals, going to game 5, Puncakes took a loss 2-3 and ended as the #3 seed into National Playoffs, where there will be a 3rd rematch between Eyeswideshut and Puncakes in round 1.

CBC Rocket League had multiple games in week 1 of Regional Playoffs for the Central Region. Starting off round 1 against #7 Salt Lake Community College, CBC found a quick 2-0 lead, but SLCC fought back to take it to a game 5. The Hawks were able to hold on and secure a 3-2 series victory and advance. Falling to #3 Iowa Western Community College in semifinals, CBC had to battle back in loser's round 2 to achieve a National Playoff spot. Going against #5 Pratt Community College, substitute Chandler "RageBeamer77" Mitz came in for Brigham to change the pace of play. The change was enough for CBC to clutch out a win 3-2. Shortly after going against #4 WSUTech, CBC took their second loss in the double elimination bracket 1-3, and secured the #4 seed going into National Playoffs.

CBC Overwatch in round 1 of West Region Playoffs competed against #3 Salt Lake Community College. The Hawks made quick work in week 1 with the match, defeating SLCC with a 3-0 sweep. In Regional Finals, the Hawks played against #1 Blinn Community College. After losing to BCC in the regular season in a sweep, CBC were looking to secure the #1 seed in the West Region into National Playoffs. Blinn took an early lead in the series on map 1 with a 0-1 series lead. However, the Hawks found a way to rally back after the first map loss, and picked up the map 2 win on the "Hybrid" game mode. With the series tied at 1-1, CBC continued to show energy and teamwork, with a close match going the Hawks' way and winning map 3, taking a 2-1 map advantage and forcing a game point situation on map 4. The situation went in the favor of CBC, with Columbia Basin winning map 4 and the series 3-1. CBC will be the #1 seed from the West Region going into National Playoffs.

CBC Valorant finished 4th in the NJCAAE National Playoffs after a loss against Blinn Community College in their 3rd place match.
