A trio of former CBC Baseball alumni will square off in the Troy Super Regional as Steven Meier (2023) and the Troy Trojans host Arkansas Little Rock with
Brayden Walls (2025) and
Lance Anderson (2025).
Meier, an All-American center fielder, lead CBC to two playoff appearances including a 7th place finish at the 2023 NWAC Championships. In his two years at CBC, Meier held a .364 average including 60 career steals and a .970 OPS. After one year at Old Dominion, Meier has since anchored a deep outfield for the Trojans while hitting .309 this year.
Both Walls and Anderson lead a deeply talented 2025 CBC team to another 7th place finish in the 2025 NWAC Championships. On the mound, Walls lead CBC as the #1 while also notching 3 saves on the season. As a starter his sophomore year, Walls finished with a 2.16 ERA with 90 strike outs over 87 innings including a 1-0 complete game shutout of #1 ranked Lower Columbia on the road. As a reliever for Little Rock, Walls has been stellar with a 4.15 ERA and one win in 2 starts. A 2-year starting shortstop for CBC, Anderson's glove was instrumental to the Hawks success as a two-time East Gold Glove winner including an NWAC Gold Glove in 2024. At the plate, Anderson hit .316 his sophomore year with 23 RBIs and 28 stolen bases, good for All-NWAC 2nd team honors.
Both Walls and Anderson are also joined by former Tacoma CC pitcher Isaac Evaniew as the NCAA continues to see production from NWAC players year in and year out at the highest levels.
The Troy Super Regional begins on Friday with games aired on ESPNU and ESPN2. The winner of the three-game series clinches a spot in the College World Series.
