After completing their league schedule in North Idaho, the CBC Women's Golf team has qualified all 4 of its members to participate in the Championship tournament at Apple Tree Golf Course In Yakima. The team will get a chance to go after a team championship as well as the individual champion crown. In 2019, Hawk golfer Breanna Watts took home the top golfer award in a long line of championships for the CBC golf program. The 2023 team is lead by Sophomore
Tatum York-Bement who's been a steady leader for the team who's made tremendous strides under new coach Quinton Parnell. Tatum has turned in the low card for the Hawks in 5 of their 8 tournaments so far this year.
Abby Buchert,
Makena Nyby and
Brooke Davison will join York-Bement in pursuit of a team championship.
The CBC Men were one player short of qualifying for the team competition but will have 3 players competing for the individual championship. Lead by 3rd year Sophomore
Clayton Whitby and
Logan Knaff, CBC will also feature freshman
Ryan Russell who has quietly put together a great season and is playing his best golf as of late. Whitby, a near scratch player will be the favorite to make a run at the title but he and Knaff/Russell will need to play well to compete with the likes of North Idaho.
The Hawks will finish off the regular season at the SWOCC Invitational located at Bandon Dunes on May 14/15th before they get ready to travel to Apple Tree on May 21st for the Championships.
