A great weekend for golf as the weather cleared off to sun and high 60's at Meadow Springs. Harrell was great on the front 9 logging 2 birdies for a 35 but despite some trouble on the back, 3 straight pars lead to a final of 73. On Day 2, he again had trouble on the back 9 but was able to save it with a 33 on the front for a 77 finishing just one stroke ahead of Trey Lecheminant of Spokane.
TJ Murdock carded a +22 while
Apollos Morris came in with a +24 in support of Harrel leading the Hawks to a 3rd place finish at +78.
On the Women's side, McCartney turned in a balanced 88 scoring a 44 on both the front and back for Day 1. On Day 2, she turned on the gas with a birdie on Hole 8 and carded 5 pars on the back 9 for an 81 (best round of the tournament). The impressive second helped vault McCartney to the top of the leaderboard finishing the tournament 12 strokes ahead of 2nd place finisher Malia Schroeder of Skagit Valley. Nyby had a strong first day coming in with a 91 before having some trouble on the front 9 of Day 2 finishing with a 102. Her +49 was two strokes better than the next finisher handing her 5th place.
CBC will head to McCormick Woods for their first league match of the season hosted by Olympic College on April 14th/15th.
